I'm a Ph. D. candidate in the Soft Robotics and Bionics Laboratory (SRBL) in Seoul National University, South Korea, advised by Prof. Yong-Lae Park. My primary research topics are designing control and sensing algorithms for robot systems. Soft robotics, reinforcement learning, and control systems are of my interests.

My philosophy of research is "explainability." Whenever I use machine learning in the research, they must be explainable in the sense of robustness and stability.

Probabilistic Modeling and Bayesian Filtering for Improved State Estimation for Soft Robots

IEEE Transactions on Robotics, 2021

[Paper Link]

We propose a Bayesian filtering algorithm for soft robots. If both the actuator kinematics model and the sensor model is given, we can utilize filtering theory for improved state estimation.

Adaptive Calibration of Soft Sensors using Optimal Transportation Transfer Learning for Mass Production and Long-Term Usage

Advanced Intelligent Systems, 2020

[Paper Link]

We propose an adaptive calibration method for soft sensors, especially concentrating on the mass calibration and signal drift.
